Lieve mensen,

We zijn weer anderhalve week verder. Wat is er veel gebeurd! Afgelopen zondag hebben we een heerlijke dienst gehad in de Rooftop Bar, ondersteund door de band NZRTH, in de bar. Zo is het. God maakt mooie dingen uit het as, dat is wat Hij doet! Na de dienst zijn een aantal jongeren uit de kerk wezen voetballen met kinderen in de wijk! Een heerlijk initiatief, dat geen gebouw nodig heeft.

Ondertussen hebben we gehoord dat we de komende weken in de Rootop Bar terecht kunnen. Dat is mooi, want we blijven graag in de buurt als kerk. De herbouw of nieuwbouw zal zeker 1 tot 2 jaar duren. Dat is een aardige tijd om te overbruggen, maar we hebben er veel vertrouwen in.

We zijn dankbaar dat de kapster en zangdocente en ook de bingo een (tijdelijk) onderkomen hebben gevonden, waar ze hun activiteiten kunnen voortzetten. Bijzonder is, dat dit ook in ruimtes zijn van de Rooftop Bar.

De waarde van de kerk ligt niet in het gebouw, maar in onze eenheid in Christus. Het is Zijn liefde die ons één maakt. God is goed, Hij is trouw en vol liefde. Dank voor je betrokkenheid.

We are another week and a half down the road. What a lot has happened! Last Sunday we had a wonderful service at the Rooftop Bar, supported by the band NZRTH, in the bar. This is how it is. God makes beautiful things out of ashes, that’s what He does! After the service, some young people from the church went to play soccer with kids in the neighborhood! A wonderful initiative that doesn’t need a building.

Meanwhile, we have heard that we can go into the Rootop Bar for the next few weeks. That’s great, because we like to stay in the neighborhood as a church. The rebuilding or new building will take at least 1 to 2 years. That is a nice time to bridge, but we are very confident.

We are grateful that the hairdresser and singing teacher and also the bingo have found a (temporary) home, where they can continue their activities. Remarkably, these are also in rooms of the Rooftop Bar.

The value of the church lies not in the building, but in our unity in Christ. It is His love that makes us one. God is good, He is faithful and full of love. Thank you for your involvement.
