Gisteren, 13 januari, heeft een brand het kerkgebouw in Breda, Nederland, zwaar beschadigd en het hele interieur verwoest. De omvang van de schade en de behoeften worden nog steeds in kaart gebracht.
Er zijn plannen om een tijdelijke ontmoetingsruimte te vinden in dezelfde buurt waar de kerk de gemeenschap actief heeft gediend.
Houd de kerk en andere groepen en bedrijven die gebruik maakten van de kerk in uw gebeden – voor sommigen van hen zijn ze hun werkplek en bron van inkomsten kwijt.
Pastor Stephen Overduin vertelt ons het volgende: “Bedankt voor jullie gebeden. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat God ons hier niet alleen doorheen zal leiden, maar het ook zal gebruiken voor Zijn glorie en grote dingen in Zijn Koninkrijk! Het is geen gebouw, maar God die onze toevlucht is. Het zijn geen muren en een dak boven ons hoofd, maar Gods liefde die ons verbindt!”

Yesterday, January 13th, a fire severely damaged the church building in Breda, Netherlands, destroying its entire interior. The extent of the damage and needs are still being assessed.
Plans are underway to find a temporary gathering space within the same neighborhood where the church has been actively serving the community.
Please keep the church and other groups and businesses that used the church in your prayers – for some of them they have lost their workplaces and their source of income.
Pastor Stephen Overduin shares with us: “Thank you for your prayers. We are convinced that God will not only lead us through this, but will also use it for His glory and great things in His Kingdom! It is not a building, but God who is our refuge. It is not walls and a roof over our heads, but God’s love that unites us!”
